Narrow Gauge 10-Mile/5K Run

Be a part of history -- this is the longest continuously run road race in Colorado! Since 1978, the Durango Running Club's Narrow Gauge 10 Mile Run has been one of Durango's oldest Memorial Day traditions. This year, we're back at beautiful Santa Rita Park. Bring your entire family, and they can spend time at the playground or watch the rafts navigate the Whitewater Park while you run.

The 10-mile course is on road/pavement and highlights some of Durango's best mountain views! It runs counter-clockwise up to Fort Lewis College, around the rim, down N. College, and back along the Animas River Trail. The 5K is an out-and-back along the Animas River Trail. All finishers receive a race t-shirt and pint glass. Proceeds this year benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Colorado and the Fort Lewis College Track/Cross-Country team.
