The San Juan Angler offers year-round guiding on a number of diverse rivers and creeks in the 4 corners region. We host both half and full day walk/wade trips and float trips. Our excursions are all-inclusive and rates cover gear, equipment, flies and terminal tackle. On full days the guides also provide lunch. The only additional costs is a fishing license for the day(s) and gratuity. Â
The San Juan River in New Mexico is a fantastic year-round tailwater for both float and wade trips. It is a bucket list river for anglers seeking to catch trophy Rainbow and Brown trout. The Juan has one of the highest fish densities per mile in the country. Â
The Animas River in Durango is a natural freestone river originating in Silverton Colorado. Being a freestone, the Animas is consistently changing throughout the year from clear/cloudy, high/low, warm/cold water conditions making it a challenging and also very rewarding fishery. A former Colorado State Record Brown trout was recorded weighting in at 23 lbs.Â
The Los Pinos River below Vallecito Reservoir is a private tailwater offering opportunites for a fish of a lifetime. If your seeking quiet and peaceful water away from crowds consider one of our private sections on the Pine. This is one of the most spectacular and beautiful rivers loaded with wild trout. Slow your pace and enjoy watching trophy trout feed and plan your attack.
The Dolores River below McPhee Reservoir is a unique tailwater located in a remote desert canyon miles off the beaten path. Enjoy great hopper fishing for spooky Rainbows and Browns. The Dolores is a tricky fishery that will challenge the most skilled anglers. Â
During the summer months our trips take us into the San Juan National Forest where you'll find miles of high mountain creeks. The streams offer amazing sight fishing with dry flies for hungry Cutthroat and Brook trout. An added bonus is the breath taking views of the magestic mountain ranges.
