A Guide to Snowmobiling in Durango
Hesperus will be closed for the 2023-2024 ski season!
Just minutes from downtown Durango—11 miles west on Highway 160—Hesperus Ski Area offers 26 trails on 60 skiable acres, with 150 inches of annual snowfall.
The double chair takes skiers and riders up to the 8,888′ summit for over 700 feet of vertical. Best known for night skiing and riding, Hesperus also offers tubing, rentals, ski and ride school and a snack bar and lodge.
Hesperus is also home to the renowned Hesperus Ski Patrol.
SkiBikes are permitted at Hesperus Ski Area. Guests must have a retention device for the lift.
Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays: 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Saturdays: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Sundays: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
