Film & Photography Permits

Durango, Colorado offers many breathtaking backdrops, and we encourage you to utilize them for your next photography series or film production. However, before you start working on your storyboard, we want to ensure you have all the permits and tools necessary for a successful production. San Juan National Forest

  • Submit at least 30 days prior to the start of filming.

  • Permit only necessary if renting out an entire public park (Buckley Park, Rotary Park, etc.)

Colorado National Parks

  • Permits take 10 business days to process
  • A permit is not necessary for low-impact filming
